The reporter learned that China Shipbuilding Group seized the opportunity of strong market demand and signed construction contracts with dozens of domestic and foreign oil companies. At present, China Shipbuilding Group ranks first among the world's major shipping enterprises in terms of LNG ship orders.

This is the Shanghai Shipbuilding Base. The ship you see is a 174000 m3 LNG ship just delivered by China Shipyard, Hudong. This ship is the first ship in the six series of ships of COSCO Shipping and CNPC National LNG Transportation Project.

LNG ship, as the "marine super refrigerated vehicle", is known as the "pearl on the crown of shipbuilding industry", representing the highest level of shipbuilding industry. The construction of this ship type is a "technology intensive+capital intensive" project, which highly tests the comprehensive strength of the builders.

The average delivery period of LNG ships is up to 30 months, and the price is linked to its system technical parameters. As the first shipyard in China to master LNG ship construction technology, Hudong Zhonghua has witnessed an explosive growth in LNG ship orders this year. At present, there are more than 30 orders for handheld LNG ships, and the delivery period has been scheduled to 2027.

According to statistics, up to now, China Shipbuilding Group has signed more than 40 large LNG ship contracts, ranking first among the world's major ship enterprises.
